Bearcubs Sporting Club Code of Conduct
At Bearcubs Sporting Club, we are committed to maintaining a positive and respectful environment across all our programs. The following Code of Conduct is applicable to all participants, including players, parents/guardians, coaches, and spectators. It is essential to adhere to these guidelines to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone involved.
For Players:
1. Respect and Sportsmanship: Players are expected to treat teammates, opponents, coaches, referees, and spectators with respect and sportsmanship at all times.
2. Fair Play: Players must adhere to the rules of the game, compete fairly, and accept both victory and defeat gracefully.
3. Abusive Language and Behaviour: Players are strictly prohibited from using abusive language or engaging in any form of aggressive behaviour. Any instances of such behaviour will result in disciplinary action.
4. Commitment and Attendance: Players should attend practices, games, and team events regularly, demonstrating commitment to their respective teams.
5. Safety: Players are responsible for their own safety and the safety of their teammates. Abide by all safety guidelines and report any unsafe conditions immediately.
6. Equipment: Players must use and care for team equipment responsibly. Report any damaged or malfunctioning equipment to the coach promptly.
7. Communication: Players should communicate openly and respectfully with coaches, teammates, and club officials. Address concerns through proper channels.
8. Effort and Improvement: Players are encouraged to put forth their best effort in practices and games, focusing on personal and team improvement.
9. Representing the Club: Players are representatives of Bearcubs Sporting Club and should conduct themselves in a manner that reflects positively on the club both on and off the field or court.
For Parents/Guardians:
1. Supportive Environment: Parents should create a supportive and positive environment for their child, teammates, and coaches.
2. Respect for All: Respect the decisions of coaches, referees, and opposing players, creating an atmosphere of sportsmanship.
3. Abusive Language and Behavior: Parents are strictly prohibited from using abusive language or engaging in any form of aggressive behavior. Any instances of such behavior will result in disciplinary action.
4. Communication: Maintain open communication with coaches and club officials, addressing any concerns or questions in a respectful and timely manner.
5. Attendance: Ensure that your child attends practices, games, and team events regularly, recognizing the importance of commitment.
6. Sideline Conduct: Refrain from negative comments or actions on the sidelines. Encourage positive behaviour and sportsmanship among all spectators.
7. Feedback: Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to your child. Avoid placing undue pressure on them or their teammates.
8. Responsible Conduct: Parents are expected to act responsibly during club events and activities, reflecting the values of Bearcubs Sporting Club.
Disciplinary Action:
Violations of this Code of Conduct, especially instances involving abusive language or behaviour, may result in disciplinary action, including but not limited to warnings, suspension from club activities, or expulsion from the program. Decisions will be made by club officials based on the severity and frequency of the violation.
By adhering to this Code of Conduct, we can collectively create a positive, respectful, and enjoyable environment for all involved in Bearcubs Sporting Club programs.
